Dr. Lishan Adam has more than 25 years of experience with digital technologies in developing countries, focusing on access, infrastructure, policy, regulation, and their applications across key sectors, including health, education, agriculture, urban development, climate change, and trade. He began his career at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa as a programmer, trainer, network manager, and regional advisor. He then moved into teaching and research before becoming a consultant and researcher. Since starting his consulting work in 2003, Adam has advised governments, the private sector, international organizations, and regional bodies on infrastructure development, applications, inclusion, and policy and regulatory issues related to digital and emerging technologies.
