Michael Bernard Allen is a two-time author, an entrepreneur at heart, a business professional, human rights consultant, and founder and executive director. Michael is the visionary founder and leader of Surrender Your Hate, LLC. (SYH), a God-inspired spiritual and social movement devoted to turning hate, bias, and prejudice into peace, love, and surrendered living with all of humanity. Michael's first book, 31 Days of Surrender: Respecting Life Every Day is an excellent parent and youth guide to making positive life-saving decisions when faced with conflict that potentially could lead to violence or gun violence. As a former pharmaceutical leader, Michael became very adept at managing conflict within his teams, colleagues, and customer base during his thirty plus year career. He often states that anger and unresolved conflicts are counterproductive to the success of a team, where a positive outcome is the goal. This philosophy of working for the betterment of all is throughout the fabric of 31 Days and now Heartset: More than Mindset, A Pathway to Nonviolent Peaceful Living. After witnessing the George Floyd murder in May of 2020, Michael's heartfelt belief is that God set him on a path to help society learn to live more harmoniously with each other.
Thus, the formation of Surrender Your Hate, the SYH Pledge, Let Life Live, and now these two books. Michael is also a speaker on the subjects of conflict resolution, de-escalation strategies, anger management, relationship building, respecting differences, and successful life-saving human interactions. Michael is a 1985 graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee Florida, where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and public relations. As a Christian and father to his son, Zachary Christian Allen, a Marine Corps Captain. Michael works tirelessly to model his faith-based beliefs to Zachary and others God places in his path. Faith and family are Michael's guiding principles as are forgiveness, righteousness, peace and joy.
