Bear and Tweety Bird Just as I was thinking about drawing this book to a close, I thought I really wanted it to end with a Bear happening. God heard me and made Bear the final act. ***** One evening I told Bear we needed to go to the post office to mail some letters. Of course, he was ready immediately. So to enjoy the night air, I rolled down both of our windows in the truck. As we were travelling slowly along, a small wren slid across our windshield. Fortunately, the little bird was not hurt. When reaching my side of the truck, he was sucked inside through my open window.

The little fellow flew over to Bear's side, went down on the floor and under his seat. With head down and bottom up in the air Bear leaned over to try to see him on the floor. Too quickly for Bear to notice, the bird came out and landed on the dash. Not able to find him under the seat, Bear sat back up looking for tweety bird. When searching further, Bear put his nose on the dash. Suddenly, tweety bird jumped up on the bridge of Bear's nose -- looking straight into his eyes. I immediately and softly told Bear over and over again, Do not hurt the little bird. With the bird still on his nose, Bear slowly turned his head looking at me with bewilderment in his eyes.

It was as if he was trying to say to me, What do you expect me to do with this bird when you keep telling me to not hurt him. Oh, to have had a camera! What a picture that would have been! Then Bear very slowly turned his head towards his open window -- all the time tweety bird didn't move a feather. Instead the bird just kept staring at Bear. Bear then slowly stuck his head out the window, and the bird flew away. I was laughing all the while. ***** It was afterwards that I suddenly realized this happening was not just an accident. Once again God's fingerprints were all over this circus act I had just experienced. Actually it was far deeper than that.

He knew I needed a little help once again. I have laughed over this many times. God knows what it takes to bring happiness to my soul. Thank you, Father!.
