Laurie Anderson started baking dog biscuits in 1990 for her dogs using leftover gravy. Samples were given to friends who had pets & the recipes became a big success. Requests were coming in to bake batches of biscuits as gifts for their dogs. Even her spouse enjoyed some of the treats when he ate some "cheezy garlic biscuits" by mistake. Laurie started out passing out recipes until someone suggested writing a cookbook. After 6 months of experimenting with liver, peanut butter, cheese, chicken, even home-made jerky flavors & different ways to bake, puree, hydrate & saute biscuits the book was ready.
