This story is about growing up in the fifties and sixties as an adopted child. As an adult, the author started on an eighteen year journey to discover his biological history. That journey eventually turned into a quest to find his biological family more than 50 years after his adoption. This book explains the difficulties both logistically as well as emotionally of this kind of search. It also deals with the successes and disappointments one has in reuniting with family members separated for many years, in some cases the family members didn't even know of the others existence.
