Paul Bailey grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts. He first met Zyg Jankowski in 1964 at the Rocky Neck Artists Colony in Gloucester, Massachusetts and acquired his first Zyg painting. Paul stayed in touch with Zyg throughout the latter's life and continued to collect his work. For several years, Paul spent a week painting in Zyg's studio during the summer. Paul has painted since boyhood in both oils and acrylics and has spent may hours in museums and galleries showcasing modern art.
