Michael had a dream to drive from his home in the UK to Cape Town in South Africa - a journey of 28,000 miles across 25 countries. Travel with him and his partner, Helen, in their (mostly) reliable Toyota 4x4 and discover some of the secrets of Dark Africa, survival tips for overlanding and the people and wildlife they met along the way. Sadly, this was their last journey together, as Michael lost his fight with oesophageal cancer in July 2015 after returning and recording his tale. This book is published posthumously and 50p from the sale of each copy will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
