The Museum of Broken Relationships is a real museum with locations in Los Angeles and Zagreb. Each chapter features a black and white illustration of real relationship momentos from the museum. Barker has lived and worked in every location he writes about. Barker works with men and boys across the globe to end violence against women, a theme which features in the book.
