Barbara Barry grew up in San Francisco and attended UC-Berkeley as an undergraduate and later as a Ph.D. student. With a M.Ed. degree from UW-Madison and 25 years teaching experience at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, she tapped her experiences in higher education settings to craft this romance novel. Now retired, Barbara loves to travel, cook, read, write, do yoga, and watch HGTV. She also volunteers to teach English and citizenship classes for immigrants and refugees, and she is learning Spanish.

Barbara published nine academic books and over forty research articles, so spending her retirement writing fiction is a challenging, new experience. This is her second novel but her first romance.
