French Cinema from the Liberation to the New Wave, 1945-1958
Bert Cardullo is Professor of Media and Communication at the Izmir University of Economics in Izmir, Turkey, where he teaches courses in film history, theory, and criticism. Born in New York City, he was educated at the University of Florida, Tulane, and Yale. His essays and reviews have appeared in such journals as the Yale Review, Cambridge Quarterly, Cinema Journal, and The New Republic; and he is the author, editor, or translator of a number of books on film and drama, the most recent of which are World Directors in Dialogue: Conversations on Cinema and André Bazin and Italian Neorealism.
