Walter Hill was born in Long Beach, California and educated at Mexico City College and Michigan State University. He worked in oil drilling and construction in the 60s before becoming a 2nd assistant director in 1967. He has written and co-written screenplays, including several uncredited works. He has produced and directed films since 1975. Mike Benson is a writer and producer on a number of Emmy-nominated shows including ENTOURAGE for HBO and THE BERNIE MAC SHOW for Regency/Fox. During his career, Benson has written pilots including SHADOW DOGS and UPWARDLY MOBLE for IFC, UNDER THE GUN for Amazon, and an animated series for the WWE/Film Roman. Other shows and projects include BREAKING IN for Sony/Fox and a pilot for HBO with Anthony Kiedis about his 1970s childhood. Benson's shows have been nominated for numerous Emmys, Golden Globes, WGA, NAACP and Peabody Awards.

Along with writing television, Benson also has an extensive career in comics including writing Marvel's Luke Cage- Noir, Deadpool- Pulp series, Moon Knight and DC's Batman. Benson also created his first graphic novel for Oni-Press entitled BRIK. Benson's comics have made the NY TIMES BEST SELLER LIST and won the prestigious Glyph Award for best book of the year.
