Multi-discipline artist Amir Bey, works in many areas: the visual and occult arts, including sculpture, performance art, writing, astrology, tarot, installations, set design, and costumes. As a curator, he has organized over 100 exhibitions and performances. As a visual artist, he has exhibited in Japan, Turkey, France, Germany, Martinique, and Spain. He began his studies in the occult in 1968, and has calculated thousands of astrology charts, two Sun/Moon calendars, and many art pieces dedicated to the occult. The Equinox Celebration Tarot combines many areas of his work, sculpture, astrology, and philosophy. He worked on the 36 figures, called "Celebrants," from 1976-1980. The Equinox Celebration Tarot became an indispensable tool for him and others who use it. As a performance artist he works with musicians, dancers, and other visual artists.
