In this text, the creation stories of different Native American tribes, their rituals and myths, their hunting and farming methods, are explored by Native specialists and leading scholars to shed light on Native American perspectives on nature. There are six major themes in the book - origin stories, astronomy, culture and landscape, animals, botany, and nature as a model for society.
