Francesco Bonami (b. 1955) is an Italian art critic and curator. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze art history and scenography. At the beginning of the 1990s he moved to New York and worked as correspondent for Flash Art. 1998 he curated for Site Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the show "Truce," and 1999 at Whitechapel Art Gallery in London Exhibiting Painting, followed 2003 by the show "Delays and Resolutions" curated together with Daniel Birnbaum at the 50th Biennale di Venezia, "Hiroshi Sugimoto: Architecture" the same year at Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and amogst others 2010 the Whitney Biennial in New York. Juergen Teller (b. 1964) lives in London and was the most innovative German fashion photographer in the last decade. After his study at Fachakademie für Fotodesign in Munich 1984 until 1986, he fled the military duty to London where he still lives.
Being assistant to Nick Knight he gathered experiences in the London music industries and the chance to portray musicians like the Cocteau Twins, Sinéad O'Connor and Morrissey. At the end of 1980s he worked for Zeitgeist magazines as well as i-D and The Face . 1991 he had the chance to travel with the unknown band Nirvana on their "Nevermind" tour. Since that time he is portrayed supermodels as Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, the musicians Courtney Love, Björk, PJ Harvey or Patti Smith, and is also doing fashion photography for campaigns. Since 2014 he is professor for photography at the Akademie für Bildende Künste in Nuremberg.
