Bill Bonney is a security evangelist, author, and consultant. As co-author of the Cybersecurity Canon Hall of Fame books volume 1 and 2 of the CISO Desk Reference Guide, Bill and co-authors Matt Stamper and Gary Hayslip are dedicated to providing the practical advice we need to combat the ongoing scourge of cybercrime. Prior to co-founding CISO DRG Publishing, Bill was Vice President of Product Marketing and Chief Strategist at UBIQ (formerly FHOOSH), a maker of high-speed encryption software, Vice President of Product Marketing and Principal Consulting Analyst at TechVision Research, and Director of Information Security and Compliance at Intuit, maker of personal and small business financial products. Bill holds multiple patents in data protection, access, and classification, and was an early member of the Board of Advisors for CyberTECH, a San Diego incubator. He was a founding member of the board of directors for the San Diego CISO Round Table, a professional group focused on building relationships and fostering collaboration in information security management. Bill is a highly regarded speaker and panelist addressing technology and security concerns. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Albany University.
