Originally published in 1925, the Hulsean Lectures for 1924–5 by Alan Coates Bouquet examine the main alternatives at the time to Christianity specifically and religion more generally. Secularism, pantheism, traditionalism and relativism are all discussed. Bouquet also includes another sermon on the future of organised Christianity, delivered in Queen's College Chapel in 1924, by way of an epilogue, as well as notes on each lecture.
