Poets are usually thought of as solitary souls: on the page, the stage, or as they scribble away in a lonely garret. In my case, especially, I am lucky to be supported in my writing by a cast of characters who deserve as much credit for my creative efforts as any muse kicking me out of bed at midnight to write the words down. To all the writers and poets of the spoken word community Word of Mouth in Athens, Georgia, thanks for providing the time and the place to practice my thinking at Globe Athens on a monthly basis. I feel lucky to be among such a talented and supportive group.
