Elisabeth Brooke is a qualified medical herbalist and member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. She was a member of the teaching staff at the School of Herbal Medicine for many years and ran a training clinic for students in London. She has devised and taught courses on herbal medicine and women's health with the Inner London Education Authority, the Workers' Education Association, and several London boroughs. She is a qualified counselor for the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London and has also worked in clinical practice specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Since 1989 she has been pursuing independent research into traditional healing methods.
