What can we learn while going through pain and loss? Can you laugh during the few months, knowing your husband is dying? Can God heal after the loss of a precious loved one? Going through the diagnosis, treatment, and battle of cancer is such a crisis for anyone, and then to lose the love of your life to that cancer turns your world upside down. My story is about the journey that my husband and I went through and what I learned from that journey. My learning came in pieces, snippets of truth, thus the chapter titles. From having to radically change his menu, to getting him through six weeks of radiation, to planning his funeral before he died, to watching him fight those last few months--all those diffi cult experiences that taught me so much.
