James H. Campbell, also known as artist Jim Campbell, is an internationally known pen-and-ink artist whose exquisite drawings have captured many of the historic ships of the world. Campbell's originals have graced well known galleries, including the Jack London Museum of Oakland, the San Francisco Maritime Museum, and Virginia's Maritime Museum. His work is also found in private collections throughout the world, including Japan, Hong Kong, England, the Netherlands, Germany, and Canada. In addition to his artwork, Campbell has illustrated several books and has published two books, From Cinnabar to Quicksilver (2009) and Down Memory Lane (2015). Campbell resides in San Jose, California, with his beloved wife Joanne. They were married in Ohio in 1948, travelled to California on their honeymoon, and decided to stay and build a new life together in San Jose.
