The arrangement is, as far as possible, chronological. The monuments of the Ancient Empire are placed chiey in the Vestibule; those of the Middle Empire will be found in the Northern Gallery and Central Saloon; and in the Southern Gallery are the Antiquities of the New Empire, and of the Sa'i'te, Ptolema'ic, Roman and Christian Periods.
