Nina Bunjevac is a Toronto-based cartoonist and illustrator. Her art education began at the Djordje Krstic school of applied art in Nish, Yugoslavia, and continued at the Central Technical School's Art Centre and the Ontario College of Art and Design. Her work has been published in a variety of literary magazines and comics anthologies in the US, Europe, and Canada. Recent publications include Mineshaft magazine (USA); Giuda , InguineMah (Italy); Le Dernier Cri (France); Komikaze (Croatia); and Komiko (Serbia). Irena Jukic Pranjic obtained a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb. Her work has been published in a number of paper and online anthologies, both in North America and Europe, including Stripburger (Slovenia), Feminus Ludens (Serbia), Mutate & Survive (Portugal), Komikaze (Croatia), Lambiek (Netherands), and Mineshaft (USA). She has self-published four independent collections of comics titled The Antidote , and in 2010 produced and directed The Soul Ornament with the Croatian production house Zagreb Film. The film won the best film and best director prizes at the Croatian Short Film Festival in 2011 and will debut at the 2011 Cannes Film festival.
