Dr. Burke lives with his wife Catherine and two cats in Cottage Grove, Oregon where he writes, bakes bread, and is an active community volunteer.He received his medical degree at the Oregon Health Sciences University on a US Navy Health Professions Scholarship. Internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology occurred at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. He is board certified by the American College of Gynecology.He served as the General Medical Officer aboard the USS Carl Vinson, CVN70, and as Director of Surgical Services at the Naval Hospital in Guam.
