He takes leave of his beloved Medora, arrives at the Pacha's rallying-point, and introduces himself as a dervish escaped from the pirates. however his plans go amiss, and he is wounded and taken prisoner, but not before he has rescued Gulnare, the chief slave in the Pacha's harem, from imminent death. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection.
