The Church of God Movement is part of the larger "Radical Reformation" that's been around for centuries. It resists the tendency to allow human governments and powerful officials and private agendas to control the church of Jesus. The church is God's. Jesus made this dramatically clear and paid a high price indeed. Being a "radical" the Jesus way is always right although not always easy or even safe in a fallen world. The grace of the Spirit of Jesus creates the church, which the Spirit then governs, gifts, and sends. The Church of God Movement is a global fellowship of Christians serious about the faith and its relevance in today's world. It's a "radical" movement, but NOT in the sense of extreme or out-of-control or oddly innovative as many revolutionary groups are today.
To the contrary, there's a wonderfully positive sense of being radical. It's a reflection of Jesus himself, a daring to go back to the basics of the faith for the sake of God's mission in this world. Good fruit cannot be expected without good roots in the right soil.
