John Carrick serves as the senior pastor of the American Protestant Church in Bonn, Germany. He is ordained in the United Methodist Church and has served churches in the U.S. and a Spanish Congregation in Asunción, Paraguay. He has been married to Sandra since 1987 and together with their three children they have lived in Indiana, Massachusetts, Costa Rica, Paraguay and Germany. John received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Asbury Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

He also studied Philosophy at Hartwick College.
