Chrissy holds degrees in fine art and library science, two passions that continue to shape the visual, literary, and imaginative heart of her work. She is also the founder of the Velvet Teacup Society, a welcoming reader-and-author community centered on books, conversation, and the joy of discovering new stories. Chrissy lives on the Florida coast with her husband and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Audrey, whose considerable charm has found its way into more than one fictional character.

When she is not writing, Chrissy enjoys studying the cello, playing mahjong, and brewing a proper pot of tea. She keeps a balcony garden-which she swears is secretly tended by pixies-and is always dreaming up her next magical world.
