Binayak S. Choudhury is a Professor of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. He has more than three decades of research and teaching experience, in which more than two decades have been in the position of Full Professor. He has wide research interests in several topics of Pure and Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics and Decision Sciences. He has published more than 300 research articles and guided 23 research students for Ph.D. degree. He has handled several Research Projects as a Principal Investigator.
He has travelled widely across the world in connection with research work. Particularly, his contributions to Quantum Information Theory over about two decades have been commendable. Soumen Samanta is currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Applied Science at Haldia Institute of Technology, West Bengal, India. Before that, he has served as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at IIEST, Shibpur on a contractual basis. He has experience in teaching mathematics at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. He has obtained his Master of Science degree from the University of Calcutta, India and Ph.D. degree in the field of Quantum Information Theory from IIEST, Shibpur, India.
Dr. Samanta has specialized in the Theory of Quantum Communication particularly in Quantum Teleportation, Quantum Remote State Preparation, Quantum Walk, etc. Dr. Samanta has contributed significantly to the field of Quantum Information Theory through more than 27 research articles in different peer-reviewed journals and published in reputed publishing houses. He has also served as a reviewer of several papers for different journals.
