Neil Cohn has recently been gaining attention for his linguistic research on how the comic medium communicates, and has lectured on this topic in the United States and Europe. His artistic works have been featured in the textbook Elementary Japanese (Tuttle), and have inspired a ballet at the California Institute of the Arts.Along with author Thom Hartmann, he is the illustrator of We the People: A Call to Take Back America (CoreWay Media, 2004), and the textbooks We the People 101 (CoreWay Media 2006), addressing the pervasive influence of corporations on American government.Neil received an M.A. from the University of Chicago, a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and has studied in Japan at Tsuru University.
