Al Columbia's career in illustration has been tempestuous. Originally handpicked by Bill Sienkiewicz to work as his assistant on Alan Moore's Big Numbers, the series' torch was passed to Columbia after Sienkiewicz left the project, but his own tenure was just as brief. Despite an array of inspired indie illustrations over the next several years, Columbia in many ways confounded the comics industry by withdrawing from monthly projects while his output became increasingly sporadic. Now IDW is proud to present a selection of his work in this newest addition to the Sparrow series.
