Professor Bacci inadvertently unlocks the biochemical key to falling in love and develops a drug to mimic the real thing. Seeking funding from banker Helmut Kappel, Bacci unknowingly sets up Kappel to abuse the drug's power and plot a cynical nightmare far removed from Bacci's vision for the drug.
