Marion Coste is the author of four nonfiction picture books about native Hawaiian species: Nene (Hawaiian goose), Honu (Hawaiian green sea turtle), Kolea (Pacific golden plover), and The Hawaiian Bat . She lives in Aiea, Hawaii. Yong Chen is the illustrator of Miz Fannie Mae's Fine New Easter Hat by Melissa Milich, Starfish Summer by Ona Gritz-Gilbert, and Swimming with Sharks by Twig C. George. Born in China, he lives in Nashua, New Hampshire. He studied illustration at Massachusetts College of Art, where he now teaches. He lives in Nashua, New Hampshire.
