Jo Cunningham is the Associate Dean of the School of Social Work at the University of Central Lancashire. She has been involved in the management and teaching of social work education for the past 17 years. Before commencing her academic career, Jo was a social worker working in the practice area of children and families. Her research interests include social justice and social work and street sex work. She is also the co-author of Social Policyand Social Work. Steve Cunningham is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy at the University of Central Lancashire. He has taught Social Policy at both undergraduate and postgraduate level for 19 years. His research interests are focused on welfare history, poverty and social security, the sociology of welfare, asylum and immigration policy, child labour and childrens rights.

Steve is the author of numerous publications in these areas. He is also the co-author of Social Policy and Social Work.
