Alan Carter is a crime writer who was short-listed for the prestigious CWA Debut Dagger Award, was runner-up in the Penguin Crime Writing Competition, and won the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction. He works as a television documentary director, and is the author of two Cato Kwang novels, Getting Warmer and Prime Cut .
