The Visionary Director has sold over 56,000 copies of its first two editions. It was last updated over ten years ago and has been widely course adopted. The new edition will be 40% new content including new reflections, stories, and provocations in Spanish. Deb Curtis and Margie Carter are well known in the early childhood field and two of Redleaf Press' most consistent best selling authors. The third edition updates include adding a new co-author, Luz Casio, a visionary director who describes herself as "an immigrant with dreams" and will be offering reflections on each chapter in both Spanish and English. Adding QR Code access links with short video stories and print resources that further illuminate the ideas under consideration. Adding a stronger focus on creating an organizational culture that is shaped by more diverse perspectives with an anti-racist, anti-bias, equity lens. Updating content to address current early childhood education trends and leadership for an expanded definition of quality.
