It has long been believed that one member of staff going on a course has little impact on school improvement. Rather, that schools should develop a culture for learning. This book is about leading learning. It focuses on different school based opportunities for staff learning and the impact each of these forms of professional learning has on children's learning. The book reflects the six year journey of developing professional learning in Washingborough Primary School and discusses both the approaches to professional learning and the improvement to practice. It focuses on the school's approach to managing change for improvement and on the staff's professional learning, and in so doing provides a framework for others to reflect on their practice. >.
