Betty Davis passion for reading and writing has led her to write her second adventure series for children. her mother's quotes "write a book about the world, children do not know enough about it". Betty can a unique talent to write in such vivid detail that adults and children feel they are actually part of the story.Betty Davis a reading specialist teaches children to read using a program she developed to make learning to read fun. She uses essential teaching strategies such as including art, music and games. Teaching reading is fun and Mrs. Davis teaches to the individuals learning style. She teaches in such a way that children become independent readers in a short time and are two grades above grade level.

Betty decided to write an adventure series after noticing there was nothing offered in regards to adventure and travel. Her writing style inspires and the reader to want to read even for the most reluctant reader. After her first book the Worldly Adventures of Nicholaas children were clambering for more. The large print and graphic novel size enables children to feel they are part of the adventure. Betty had just received an award for her work in promoting literacy in the community.She masterminded an plan to have a author fair and have the community involved. Her dream is coming true. Each school has a notice of the event and businesses have donated to literacy through monetary and gift donations.

Some of the money collected will be used in the community to help struggling readers be successful.Lastly, Betty Davis believes that everyone should have the chance to become a great reader no matter their disability. She has never had a child who could not read.
