Author/Illustrator Betty Davis is a retired elementary school teacher who has been writing children's stories for years. It is her love and empathy for children who've experienced loss that prompted her to finally publish this, her first book. Davis is also a budding illustrator excited to bring her characters to life for young readers. She currently lives with her husband Chevol, in North Carolina.
