ROY EUGENE DAVIS founded Center for Spiritual Awareness, an enlightenment movement with a publishing department and meditation retreat center in the mountain region of northeast Georgia. A direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, Mr. Davis taught in the Kriya Yoga tradition for 68 years, following his ordination by his guru in 1951. His many books, some in several languages, have inspired and encouraged thousands of readers to unfold their spiritual potential. Mr. Davis taught these philosophical principles and spiritual life-enhancement practices in over 100 North American communities, and in Japan, Brazil, England, Europe, West Africa, and India. He established Truth Journal magazine and wrote monthly lessons for students and disciples around the world.
