In 2006 H. Densing received her degree in Elementary and Secondary School Education from the University Koblenz/Landau in Germany, with an emphasis in Pedagogy, Mathematics, and Philosophy. Before and during her university years, she worked as a tutor and teacher's assistant.Through her experience, she came to discover that students can learn the same topic in completely different ways. Some children learn by reading and writing, others are visual learners, and some are auditory or kinesthetic learners. It was clear that she needed to design individualized, interest-oriented classes for the students to give them the chance to play an active part in the learning process and improve their memorization skills. "A teacher needs to have a flexible teaching style that suits a child's specific learning style." Creating learning activities and materials fascinated her.
She could see how different strategies and ideas lead to a more effective way of learning for everyone involved, including herself. After her special needs daughter was born, she started to educate herself in the fields of early intervention, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, and special education. H. Densing is a passionate teacher and author in the areas of educational and life skills intervention. She volunteers at schools and consults with teachers and parents worldwide. Her contributions to new learning materials demonstrate a commitment to academic innovation while enhancing the educational experiences for children with learning difficulties and disabilities, trying to help them reach their full potential. Her books focus on helping parents, teachers, and therapists in supporting their children to gain new knowledge and skills. Children can build long-term memories when they obtain knowledge in a playful, actively involved way.
Her mission is to provide ideas and instructions on how to support children, including children with special needs to help them reach their goals and make learning more appealing for them. Her children's picture books aim to help children to stay on track of each word they read by alternating colors.
