Saki Diakakis, originally from Athens, Greece, transitioned from a career in aviation to the dynamic field of Information Technology after immigrating to the United States in 1989. His journey began with training as a private pilot, but he was soon drawn towards the emerging world of computers and software development. His pivot to computer science led him to work with local government bodies as a Network Systems Analyst and Software Developer, helping to design and build a TV station for the City of Cocoa Beach.His diverse IT experience spans across several sectors including advertising, space subcontractors, home builders, and water treatment plants. He spent nine years in the advertising industry, managing central networks and developing systems for a national yellow page company. As a consultant, he contributed to data analysis and application development, creating an array of commercial applications. Notably, he developed one of the first surveillance wireless undercover applications in the US.For the past 12 years, Saki has been working with a local Managed Services Provider, specializing in computer networks, telephony, and cybersecurity applications, aiding businesses on local, federal, and international levels.
