Deng Fei is the Executive Dean and Professor at the School of Foreign Studies, South China Agricultural University. She also serves as a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Guangdong Research Center for Rural Policy. She is a master's supervisor and is awarded the title of Distinguished Teaching Professor at South China Agricultural University and is a student innovation and entrepreneurship mentor at South China Agricultural University. She was a visiting scholar at Kent State University (USA) during 2015-2016. Her primary research interests include corpus linguistics, corpus-based translation studies, English curriculum and pedagogy and media discourse analysis. Professor Deng has received many prestigious awards, including¿Third Prize in the National Finals of the 2025 FLTRP Cup "Teaching Star" Contest; Second Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements from the Guangdong Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education in 2025, and First Prize for Teaching Achievements of South China Agricultural University in 2025. Professor Deng has published over 40 academic papers in both domestic and international journals and books, such as Discourse Studies, The Oxford Encyclopedia of Intergroup Communication, Foreign Languages and Their Teaching, Foreign Language and Literature Studies, and Higher Agricultural Education. She also published a translated work Agricultural Economics.
