The county of Northumberland was once part of the Saxon Kingdom of Northumbria. Over the years many of the places, and people who have influenced not only the county but also the Country, have become overlooked. Both places and people have been moved by subsequent written histories into the background, off the beaten track so to speak; this book makes an attempt to bring them back.
