Joseph Dougherty is an Emmy-winning television writer and the author of a Screenwriter's Companion. He returns to the subject of making film and television, but this time he steps behind the camera. He started out on ABC's 1987 hit series thirtysomething as a writer, but directed several episodes of the series. He went on to direct Pretty Little Liars, and Judging Amy. Dougherty gives advice, experience, and great Hollywood stories in this follow up to his hit book, A Screenwriter's Companion.
