Sixteen-year-old Tatum Chandler is fed up with her boring life in small-town Oklahoma. None of the cute guys in Tatum's class know she's alive. The only attention she gets from the "in" crowd are occasional snarky comments. She gets up to close her window during a storm one night, stumps her toe in the dark, loses her balance and falls out the window. She falls through a special vortex, landing in an alternate universe, where she is Princess Tatum, only child of the king of Dierkerland. In Dierkerland, the ruling family has frequently been gifted by various special powers. However, her country is on the verge of war and possible invasion and someone her family trusts is scheming to overthrow her father and do Tatum in. She must decide who she can trust and who she can't.

She also finds that there are evil dimension-traveling Stalkers, who terrorize people like her. Can Tatum fight off Stalkers, fulfill her imperial duties as Dierkerland faces possible invasion, figure out who is out to get her family, and possibly bring a little of Princess Tatum's poise back to her often-boring Oklahoma life?.
