Andrea Eames is an English poet and novelist living in Texas after eight years in New Zealand and seventeen years in Zimbabwe. She has released two critically acclaimed adult novels so far: The Cry of the Go Away Bird (2011), and The White Shadow (2012, shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize). The first book in her children's series, Rennies, about kids who live and work at the Renaissance Faire, was released in early 2018. She has also released two collections of poetry: The Making of Stones (2016), and New Monsters (2017). She is a fairy at Sherwood Forest Faire, and lives happily in the country with her wonderful husband, and four very ungrateful cats.
