Born in Haiti, Dr. Elisme's personal journey as an immigrant shapes her compassionate approach to parenting in diverse cultural contexts. She holds a Doctorate in Social Work with a specialization in Trauma-Informed Care Leadership and Practice from Barry University and has authored resources on mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and trauma recovery.
