Dr. Erlange Elisme, DSW, MSW is a trauma-informed life coach, consultant, and author with over three decades of experience as a school social worker. As founder of Elisme Consulting Services, LLC in Georgia, she specializes in trauma-informed care leadership and resilience building. Dr. Elisme's work is uniquely informed by her journey as a Haitian immigrant and her own experiences with trauma. Her integration of Haitian "kombit" traditions-communal work and mutual support-with evidence-based trauma care creates a distinctive bridge between cultural wisdom and clinical practice. She holds a doctorate in social work with a focus on trauma-informed care and has completed advanced continuing education through Harvard Medical School in meditation and psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and immigrant mental health. She provides specialized training in trauma-informed clinical approaches for immigrants, support for human trafficking survivors, and addressing social-emotional needs of gifted children.
As an author, Dr. Elisme has written several resilience-focused books including Solange's Journey and Soft Paws and Warm Hugs: A Guide to Feeling Better.
