Jonathan Emmett developed his skills as a writer and illustrator while studying and working as an architect, before leaving the profession to become a children's author. As well as writing picture books such as Bringing Down the Moon, Someone Bigger and The Princess and the Pig, Jonathan also writes and paper-engineers pop-up books. His books have won several awards including the Red House Children's Book Award for Pigs Might Fly and the Sheffield Children's Book Award for The Pig's Knickers. Ed is the award-winning illustrator of Welcome to Alien School and How to Grow a Dinosaur (both published by Simon and Schuster). Ed now lives in a village on the Kent coast with his wife and fellow illustrator Rebecca Finn and their two dogs.
