Stacie Brensilver Berman has taught U.S. History for ten years, and AP U.S. History for seven years, at Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, New York. For the past three years, she has presented at the AP Annual Conference on topics including Reconstruction, the Great Depression, and the Civil Rights Movement. In March 2011, she also made a presentation on project-based learning in the AP classroom at the Organization of American Historians Annual Conference.
Stacie edited and wrote end-of-chapter questions for the 15th edition of The American Pageant and coauthored a chapter on teaching the Civil Rights Movement in Teaching US History: Dialogues among Social Studies Teachers and Historians. She is currently in a Ph.D. program for Teaching and Learning Social Studies at New York University.
